We’re delighted to welcome Peter Dunn as our new Executive Director. Peter has over 20 years of experience in providing leadership to California nonprofits in executive director, development and marketing roles. Peter brings to us a wealth of expertise in managing programming teams, engaging boards, and galvanizing individual, corporate and foundation support for missions like ours; several examples include his roles with the California Dance Institute, LA Neighborhood Youth Association and the San Francisco Community Clinic Consortium. The University of Wisconsin graduate also recently completed the Annenberg Foundation’s year-long Alchemy and Alchemy+ Certificate Program for nonprofit executive directors. “I am excited about joining this great team of individuals who are so committed to helping young people in San Francisco get off to a great start in life, and I look forward to all we are going to accomplish!” said Peter.

Perry is an alum of the Boys Hope Girls Hope San Francisco affiliate, where he started as a student at age 12. BHGH SF went on to help Perry attend California State University, East Bay where he obtained a degree in Sociology. While there he volunteered as a tutor and mentor to the boys in the residential program and eventually went through the AmeriCorps Program in 2013. Upon graduation from CSU, Perry joined BHGH SF as our first middle school coordinator. He subsequently built vital partnerships with local schools and communities for our incoming high school scholars. Now Perry oversees both of our two Boys Hope Girls Hope locations. As the Director of Programs, Perry strives to build relationships with high school admissions, families, and the community. He also serves our network headquarters’ team as the Alumni Engagement Specialist, assisting BHGH alumni throughout the nation with career development, and ensuring success as they transition into young professionals.
Scholar Success Manager
After graduating from San Francisco State University with a degree in Health Science, Kevin started his journey with Boys Hope Girls Hope of San Francisco in 2015 as an AmeriCorps volunteer. At that time he supported Hope Academy as our Community Resource Coordinator. Currently, Kevin serves our scholars as the Scholar Success Manager. He oversees and supports scholars from 7th grade through senior in high school at Hope Academy, and takes on the leadership role in planning and organizing our corporate visit tours and our community service events twice a month. Scholar Support Specialist
Rayburn graduated from our Boys Hope Girls Hope in 2018. He is currently attending the University of San Francisco and working towards his Psychology degree. In the near future, he hopes to become a clinical psychologist. Currently, Rayburninterns at Hope Academy as our Scholar Support Specialist, where he supports and guides our scholars. Rayburn provides direct service with tutoring, SAT/ACT Exam preparation, college applications, the high school application process, and many more. Rayburn is also a Steward Scholar. As a Steward Scholar, he has the privilege to attend an all-expense-paid opportunity to travel and participate in professional networking events throughout the nation. Along with the opportunity to potentially earn a paid internships and aid throughout their college career.
